IGBC is proud to join WorldGBC’s World Green Building Week, running 8–12 September 2025. This year’s global campaign celebrates how sustainable buildings deliver value, not just for the environment, but for business performance too.

Green Building Councils and partners worldwide will host events during the week showcasing leadership, innovation, and real-world benefits of green building. You can explore global events via the WorldGBC map.

Why This Week Matters

This World Green Buildings Week, we’re celebrating the power of sustainable buildings for business as well as the environment.

In recent years, more and more businesses and investors have recognised the importance of green buildings – for people, planet and prosperity. Yet although adoption has grown, and new financing models have made innovative projects more possible, businesses are still underestimating just how much green buildings can do for them, and how much they can do for the world.

IGBC is excited to localise this global narrative and spotlight Irish innovation from retrofit excellence to new‑build leadership.

Through the week, we’ll be hosting events and sharing stories of businesses taking steps to construct a greener, cleaner, smarter future – for themselves and the world.
