As part of World Green Building Week (WGBW), the Irish Green Building Council (IGBC) warmly invites you to the launch of our latest initiative, Building A Zero Carbon Ireland: Industry Insights & Actions, taking place on 10 September 2025 at The Masonry, Thomas Street, Dublin.
Three years on from the publication of Building A Zero Carbon Ireland: A Roadmap to Decarbonise Ireland’s Built Environment Across its Whole Life Cycle, this new report measures the Irish building industry’s progress on decarbonisation, highlights critical challenges and gaps, and most importantly inspires urgent action towards a low-carbon future.
This evening networking event is designed for senior decision-makers in Ireland’s built environment sector, offering a unique opportunity to engage with peers, learn about key findings from the Industry Update, and explore how your organisation can play a leading role in achieving a zero-carbon built environment.
Our keynote speaker, World Green Building Council CEO Cristina Gamboa, will speak on the theme of this year’s World Green Building Week, “Be Bold on Buildings”, which is all about stepping up and showing what’s possible in creating sustainable places to live, work, and thrive.
This year’s event will also feature a short presentation from Iconic Offices, IGBC Platinum Member, on the deep retrofit of The Masonry building in the heart of Dublin’s Liberties. Wine and canapés will be served, and there will be ample time for networking.
