The CO2 Performance Ladder: a Green public procurement tool
Harnessing the power of green procurement
Ireland’s climate targets aim to reduce carbon emissions by 51% by 2030 and to reach carbon neutrality by 2050. Through its scale and spending, green procurement in the construction sector has the potential to positively aid Ireland in reaching these vital targets. The CO2 Performance Ladder is a tool that can help organisations embed green procurement into their organisation in an accessible and structured way!
The IGBC is running a two-year pilot in collaboration with the Foundation for Climate Friendly Procurement and Business (SKAO), the owner and manager of the CO2 Performance Ladder, to bring this outstanding tool to Ireland.
In this webinar the CO2 Performance Ladder will be showcased and a Case Study of the impact of the ladder on public projects will be presented by Lieske Oostveen, who is a Public Buyer at Utrecht Municipality.
Join our webinar at 1pm on Thursday 29th February, to find out how you can use and benefit from the CO2 Performance Ladder. The tool will be showcased through a case study from a Dutch Local authority, followed by a 15-minute Q&A with the expert speakers.
