The Irish Green Building Council (IGBC) was established in 2011 as an independent, non-profit membership organisation, to provide leadership in the transformation to a sustainable built environment. The IGBC is made up of the most progressive organisations working in the Irish Property and construction sector.
It is affiliated with 80 national Green Building Councils that form the World Green Building Council, the largest organisation influencing sustainable construction worldwide. It is the industry partner in Construct Innovate seeking to engage the Irish construction industry in practical applicable research and innovation.

WHO DO WE NEED?
You will be joining our membership team seeking to engage our 400 members in the implementation of our roadmap to net zero. Building a Zero Carbon Ireland. We are currently seeking a passionate and results-driven Membership Engagement Coordinator.
Key responsibilities
- Assist existing members to commit to action on climate co-ordinating internally to link them to key staff and actions.
- Help develop and implement strategy to attract new members.
- Cultivate relationships with existing members to enhance engagement and retention.
- Collect feedback from members to assess their needs and expectations.
- Help organise and co-ordinate events, workshops and networking opportunities for members.
- Collaborate internally to ensure seamless execution of events in delivery of projects.
Qualifications and Experience required
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, marketing, communication, climate, environmental sustainability or related field.
- Excellent English presentation skills, oral and written.
- Competent digital skills including Word and Excel preferably with prior experience of working with Hubspot or other customer relationship management system.
Desirable
- Experience of membership engagement or relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in the property and construction sector
Benefits
Indicative Salary €28- €38,000 commensurate with relevant experience, skills and qualifications. We can consider hybrid working or part time contracts but preference is for working in our 19 Mountjoy Square office, Dublin 1.
