This iconic building designed by Ronnie Tallon of Scott Tallon Walker Architects, was constructed in two phases during the 1960s and 1970s. The aspects of the buildings which are unique include the building facades of superbly crafted solid bronze cladding & curtain wall glazing and the central public Plaza that unifies the development and creates a striking sense of place on Baggot Street.
The building has recently undergone a major refurbishment to restore it to its original glory and to include all the requirements of a modern office space. The building is targeting LEED platinum certification with JAE Engineering as the Sustainability Engineer. The design team incorporated a number of high-efficiency energy saving features, including: high efficiency lighting fixtures; a high performance envelope upgrade; high efficiency chillers and boilers; CHP; and ice thermal storage.
