1 Albert Quay, designed to Gold LEED standards, is the most significant new office development in Cork City Centre in recent years. It was built by John Cleary Developments (JCD) and designed to include the cutting-edge new ‘smart’ systems specified by Tyco International, the anchor-tenants who have now located their global headquarters here, with more than 500 employees based at 1 Albert Quay.
The tour will be led by Martin O’Brien (JCD), the original developer with a presentation from Roger Semple (Green REIT) the current owners. Also in attendance will be Pat Hogan (HJL) – Architect, Martin Murphy (MMOS) – Engineer and Martin Buckley (M&E Designer and Leed Coordinator)
The building was designed by award winning architects Henry J. Lyons, with its attractive glazed façade, it provides views of the River Lee and City Centre area. Situated next to Cork’s City Hall on a waterfront site, it is located in the heart of the City Centre Business District within minutes of all transport links.
1 Albert Quay is set to become Ireland’s flagship sustainable office development designed to meet the relevant standards for a B1 BER Certificate and to achieve a Gold LEED Precertification Accreditation.
