A circular economy is a system where we keep the materials that we have already extracted to their highest value and reuse these materials. In this system, there is no waste. Everything flows and copies the regenerative cycles of nature. This allows us to avoid extraction from the Earth’s finite resources and reduce carbon emissions. If the construction industry alters the way they practice, it could have a hugely beneficial effect on the environment.
This webinar will showcase the protocols to implement circular economy principles into construction projects focusing on using reclaimed construction materials in projects, testing reclaimed construction materials, circular procurement and much more. The successful secondary construction material platform based in England, Enfield, will be showcased. This is a circular reclaimed construction material platform created in collaboration with Excess Materials Exchange (EME). The speakers are Nitesh Magdani, Architect and Founder of Net Positive Solutions and Christian van Maaren, founder of Excess Materials Exchange.
