This workshop is intended to help site contractors to meet their LEED credits by providing a walk-through of the primary credits for which the contractor has responsibility, including tools and strategies for achieving LEED points. From kick off to close out and post-occupancy, this workshop will cover the requirements and documentation that construction managers, contractors and builders, site managers, site engineers and other construction professionals need to know.

Workshop agenda

a) Brief overview of LEED v4, including categories and credits

(It is advised that participants have an introductory knowledge of the LEED system before the workshop, as there will not be time for a full review. This could be through project experience,  introductory LEED v4 readings,or webinars.

b) Contractor roles and responsibilities during the construction phase of a LEED project, including LEED process, specifications and tendering, scheduling and project management, training and compliance on site, using the LEED online forms.

c) Review of LEED v4 credits with significant contractor role in implementation. Discussion includes understanding credit requirements, monitoring and documentation requirements, samples and templates

About the presenter:

Devyn Olson-Sawyer, LEED BD+C, has been a LEED Accredited professional since 2002. Her experience includes projects in the United States and Ireland, and she is an active sustainability consultant and presenter in a number of areas. Devyn is a co-founder of the Irish Green Building Council and currently serves on the IGBC board.
