The Irish Green Building Council, in partnership with the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment Department of Environment, Climate and Communications (DECC) is delighted to invite you to a workshop to help support the transposition of the recast Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) into Irish law, focusing on the development of Ireland’s next National Building Renovation Plan (Article 3 of the Directive).

With the first draft of the National Building Renovation Plan due to be published by the end of the year, we are delighted to organise this workshop and invite our members to join and give their input into the development of the plan. The workshop discussions will focus on the biggest challenges in achieving these targets, feasibility of existing targets, and development of potential solutions. It will inform a public consultation to be launched by DECC in September 2025 (TBC).

The workshop is by invitation only and limited to 40 key stakeholders, with one representative from each organisation, from governments and local authorities, energy agencies, construction companies, research and academia, NGOs and community organisations. This is to ensure the broadest engagement on the development of the practical recommendations and to maximise the potential for creative input.

Please RSVP to [email protected] or [email protected]  if you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to reach out.
