Following the introductory workshop which took place at the end of June, The Irish Green Building Council (IGBC) is delighted to invite you to a second workshop to finalise its submission to the Citizens’ Assembly on Biodiversity Loss.

Date: Friday 12th August
Time: 11.30 to 1 PM

Venue: Online

About:
In 2019, Ireland declared a climate and biodiversity emergency. Our Industry has a significant impact on wildlife both onsite and offsite. Many of the causes of the 6thmass extinction are related to the Built Environment, these include habitat loss and fragmentation, as well as climate change.

The Houses of the Oireachtas recently established a Citizens’ Assembly (CA) to consider the State’s response to the Biodiversity Loss Crisis. The Irish Green Building Council would like to take this opportunity to make a submission on biodiversity loss and the built environment, to highlight challenges, but also the role of our industry in addressing this crisis.

MEMBERS-ONLY. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to Irene by Tuesday, 9th August.
