Renovation Passport Commercial Pilot Findings
Building on a broad range of research and expertise, the Building Renovation Passport Pilot project focuses on developing a comprehensive package of concerted and targeted actions to tackle the barriers to energy renovation, focusing on non-residential buildings.
This SEAI funded project was coordinated by the Irish Green Building Council (IGBC), with the support of Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES) and The Scientific and Technical Center for Building (CSTB). Through nationwide stakeholder engagement, research of international models and piloting a renovation passport for sample buildings, plus training consultants, key recommendations have been identified by gaining insights into the attitudes, behaviours, and decision-making processes to deliver additional value for a robust renovation passport ecosystem.
The Renovation Passport Pilot project in developing a methodology also assessed the financial and technical barriers plus opportunities of implementing the tool, (as developed for the pilot), while also providing insights to building owners, occupiers consultants and policy makers.
