As part of World Green Building Week 2026, the Irish Green Building Council is delighted to partner with Fine Grain Property for an exclusive site visit to Connaught House.

This event offers a unique opportunity to explore how the refurbishment of an existing commercial building can deliver meaningful environmental, social and economic value. Participants will gain first-hand insight into the strategies, decisions and innovations that are transforming Connaught House into a high-performing workplace while extending the life of an existing asset.

Rather than demolishing and rebuilding, this project demonstrates how thoughtful refurbishment can reduce environmental impact, enhance occupier wellbeing, improve operational performance and create long-term value for owners and tenants alike.

Join us to discover how sustainability is being embedded into every stage of the project – from design and asset management to delivery and future performance.

What You’ll Experience

During this exclusive site visit, you’ll:

  • Explore the sustainability-led refurbishment of Connaught House
  • Learn how refurbishment can reduce embodied carbon while extending the life of existing buildings
  • Discover how ESG principles are shaping investment and asset management decisions
  • Gain insights into creating healthier, more resilient workplaces for occupants
  • Hear directly from the project team about the opportunities and challenges encountered throughout the refurbishment
  • Connect with professionals from across Ireland’s built environment sector

Speaker

Ronan Keogh
Senior Asset Manager, Fine Grain Property

Additional speakers will be announced shortly.

Why Attend?

As the built environment continues to focus on decarbonisation, the refurbishment of existing buildings has become one of the most effective ways to reduce whole-life carbon emissions while delivering commercial value.

This event provides an opportunity to see these principles applied in practice and hear directly from the team delivering the project.

Whether you’re involved in property, design, construction, sustainability, asset management or investment, you’ll leave with practical insights into how existing buildings can be transformed to meet today’s environmental and occupier expectations.
