We are delighted to announce that Xtratherm published a new EPD for PIR insulation boards: CT/PIR, FR/ALU, FR/BGM, FR/MG and Thin-R. Download the EPD here.
These Xtratherm insulation products are used in cavity walls, steel and timber-frame walls, soffit, floor, pitched and flat roof insulation applications.
This Environmental Product Declaration is the first developed according to the new standard EN 15804 +A2 2019 under the EPD Ireland programme. The declaration includes an end-of-life scenario and module D which represent the Reuse – Recovery – Recycling potential.
On this EPD, and in all the ones developed following the new standard, you’ll find a declaration of biogenic carbon content which is carbon stored in biological materials. Biogenic carbon within a building product can be considered as negative carbon emission.
