This LCA is carried out for the Ballytherm PIR insulation panels comprising Kraft paper-faced panels 25mm, 38mm and 50mm thick bonded to 12.5mm plasterboard. The main raw materials of the insulation boards are MDI, polyol, flame retardant, pentane blowing agent, plasterboard, paper sheet facings, and minor amounts of catalysts. These Ballytherm insulation products are used in floors, cavity walls, drylining board, steel and timber-frame walls and pitched roof insulation applications.
