ESB Headquarters, Fitzwilliam Street | BREEAM Case Study

The new ESB offices in Fitzwilliam street offer a view of next generation sustainable design in large office buildings. The development contains a significant number of unique solutions including a hybrid ventilation design that combines the best of both natural and mechanical conditioning. he building has also achieved an BREEAM Excellent certificate for its holistic approach to sustainability and was subject to an Life Cycle Analysis of the materials used within the building fit out.
Re-Source: Reducing Embodied Carbon in Construction

With the upfront embodied carbon of constructing new buildings accounting for most of whole life carbon of buildings, addressing these impacts is now critical if we are meet the imperative of limiting global warming below 1.5⁰C increase. Build Better Virtual Event
Wednesday 22 Sept | 9 am – 12.30 pm | FREE
Saint-Gobain will host the Build Better event with several industry experts sharing their knowledge, thoughts and practical experiences regarding a range of prominent environmental performance metrics. These will include whole building environmental accreditation schemes through to the appropriate sustainability performance measurement of individual systems and materials.
New Build Construction using Wood Fibre Insulation Virtual CPD

Combining lower embodied carbon building methods with natural insulation materials, such as wood fibre, can significantly offset the negative environmental impact of constructing the building. This Ecological Building System‘s CPD provides insight into how wood fibre is used to insulate new building constructions and the significant benefits it can provide.
