The mission of Irish Green Building Council is to lead the Irish construction industry in the transition to a sustainable built environment. IGBC is fully inclusive and encourages all organisations involved in the construction and property sector to join our network no matter where they are on their sustainability journey.

Membership indicates a commitment to start on the path to achieve net zero carbon emissions and comply with the principles of sustainable development.

The IGBC member logo only represents participation in the Irish Green Building Council and does not imply any endorsement of a member’s green or sustainability credentials. IGBC does not accredit the sustainability of its members. We support our members to collaborate and engage with each other in their move towards sustainability.

IGBC does not endorse or promote green products or services of members but encourages members to demonstrate this through transparent robust certification and verification schemes such as IGBC’s Home Performance Index and EPD Ireland, and 3rd-party solutions e.g. LEED, BREEAM and CO2 Performance Ladder.

The partnership levels of Gold and Platinum are for larger organisations who see the strategic benefits of the work of IGBC and want to provide a greater level of financial support. It also enables them to access higher benefits and discounts on some of IGBC’s services.  These levels do not suggest a level of sustainability achieved by these organisations.
