We have an exciting new opportunity for a Life Cycle Assessment Specialist to join our Dublin based team. This role will work alongside highly experienced stakeholders within the cost consultancy, project delivery and sustainable energy sectors.

Role Responsibilities
- Working with sustainability team and supply chain to understand and gather industry information on product EPD’s (Environmental Product Declaration)
- Advance KSNs library of relevant product EPDs
- Working on Life Cycle assessments (LCAs) for Embodied and operational Carbon in buildings
- Coding of BOQs and Cost plans for LCA inputs
- Working on One Click LCA or equivalent software in developing LCA reports, such as the Irish Green Building Council (IGBC) Methodology.
- Refining KSN’s approach on LCA reporting in line with RICS Professional Statement for Whole Life Carbon Assessment following the relevant standards and frameworks (EU Framework Level(s) Indicator 1.2, EN 15978).
- Refining KSN approach for Life Cycle Costing following the relevant standards and frameworks (EU Framework Indicator 6.1, EN 16652, ISO 15656).
- Liaising with Design Team members to gather data on building carbon emissions
- Training and Developing QS staff in LCA Carbon related matters
- Investigating Embodied Carbon outputs for alternative construction products;
- Develop and manage Embodied Carbon and Operational Carbon R&D in KSN
- Understand and attain suitable qualifications in operational carbon in buildings.
Person Specification
- Degree/MSc qualified candidate in a relevant Sustainable Energy Management discipline;
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant sector;
- Excellent understanding of Energy Efficiency solutions;
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills within this growth sector.
Skills/Competencies
- Experience in sustainability in the building environment;
- Demonstrable ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team;
- Working knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel,
- Working knowledge of One-click LCA,
- Strong organisational skills and an ability to prioritise key tasks.
- Works collaboratively and positively with colleagues and management.
