Integrated Material Solutions Unveils New EPD for Recovered Aggregate and Sand

27th August 2024 by Irene_igbc

We are thrilled to announce that Integrated Material Solutions has released a new Environmental Product Declaration for their Recovered Aggregate and Sand. This EPD provides detailed insights into the environmental impacts of the materials, which are produced from construction and demolition waste, as well as non-hazardous soil and granular excavation waste.

Their materials include various grades of aggregates and sands, suitable for use in civil engineering, road construction, and concrete production. The specific product designations covered by this EPD are:

– 10 mm graded aggregate (EN13242 & EN12620)
– 20 mm graded aggregate(EN13242 & EN12620)
– 40 mm graded aggregate (EN13242)
– 0-2 mm fine sand (EN13242 & EN12620)
– 0-4 mm coarse sand (EN13242 & EN12620)

One of the unique features of this EPD is its inclusion of two distinct scenarios for end-of-life stages (C1-C4) and beyond (D):

– Scenario A: 100% of the material is recycled
– Scenario B: 100% of the material is landfilled

We invite you to explore the full details by downloading the EPD here. The datasets of the 2 different scenarios are also available in digital format on the ECO Portal.
