If you are building owner or have designed or live or work in a low energy building, NZEB Open Doors would be delighted if you would consider participating in the Nearly Zero Energy Buildings – Open Doors event.
During the weekend of the 13-15 November 2015, owners of low energy buildings around the country will open their doors for this event. The event attracts visitors interested in either building a low energy project or upgrading their house or work environment to a nearly zero energy standard.
If you would like to participate by opening your doors and inspiring others, please contact: Michael Hanratty, [email protected], phone: 01 4548300, www.nzeb-opendoors.ie
The NZEB 2021 ‘Open Doors Days’ campaign is an Intelligent Energy Europe programme aiming to give hands-on experiences of building and living in nearly zero energy buildings to visitors during the Open Doors Days events. Similar events will take place across Europe.
The Nearly Zero Energy Buildings standard for dwellings in Ireland is set at 45 kWh/m2/year (an A2 rating) and is expected to be introduced in Ireland in 2016. While not all buildings participating in the event will be at that level, most will be close to it and will feature many of example of high specification insulation, glazing and the latest heating and ventilation technologies.
