Clean air is vital for human health. Did you know that most people in Ireland spend more than 90% of their time indoors, meaning that the vast majority of the air we breathe every day is indoor air? How can we improve our Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), reduce pollutant levels, and improve the condition of the air we breathe?
Join IGBC’s Patrick O’Reilly for a two-hour training course on Indoor Air Quality and Level(s) Indicator 4.1.
-
- This training will take you through the primary factors affecting indoor air quality, the main pollutants of concern and their sources.
- It will then introduce the EU Level(s) framework, and Level(s) indicator 4.1 for Indoor Air Quality, demonstrating how it can guide a project from concept design through to post-occupancy evaluation to achieve best practice indoor air quality performance.
The EU Level(s) framework was developed to be applied to residential buildings or offices; however, its principles are broadly applicable to most building types. The central idea behind the Level(s) framework is for EU member countries to use a common set of indicators and methodologies for measuring environmental performance in buildings, allowing for direct comparison of best practices, sharing of results, and setting evidence-based targets.
The course will be delivered Live online on Tuesday, 7th March, 3PM – 5PM
