In February 2024, the Irish Green Building Council launched its political manifesto, outlining the key policy priorities for Government to endorse and champion ahead of the general elections.
We are now organising a hustings event, allowing you to hear from representatives of Ireland’s main political parties on the policies needed to support Ireland’s transition to a more sustainable built environment ahead of the general election.
On the day of the event, representatives from the main political parties will have up to 2 min. to present their vision for creating sustainable homes and neighbourhoods for all. The presentations will be followed by a panel discussion, and questions from the floor.
Panellists:
- Joe Little, MC, Social Affairs Correspondent, RTE (confirmed)
- Deputy Ivana Bacik, Labour Leader and Housing Spokesperson (confirmed)
- Deputy Francis-Noel Duffy, Green Party Spokesperson on Housing (confirmed)
- Fianna Fáil representative
