By the latest proposed update to the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), commencing in 2028, all new large buildings will be required to report their life cycle Global Warming Potential (GWP). This will extend to all new buildings by 2030. The role of carbon emissions from building products in meeting these requirements will become essential and Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), which also evaluate GWP, are critical tools in fulfilling these obligations.
But what exactly is an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)? In our upcoming lunchtime webinar, we will undertake an in-depth exploration of the EPD Ireland programme. The session will explain how manufacturers can develop an EPD and empower specifiers to comprehend the information within it.
