The IGBC are pleased to invite our members to Healthy Homes Ireland breakfast event on the 20th June 2024 to discuss the crucial role which healthy homes play in creating and maintaining public health.

Registration opens at 08:30 am with the event starting at 09:00 am with a welcome and introduction from Kevin O’Rourke, Chair of Healthy Homes Ireland.
Dr Caroline Düvier from BPIE (Building Performance Institute Europe) will then deliver a presentation on the recently published European Healthy Buildings Barometer 2024, a report that looks at the current state of our buildings in terms of indoor health and wellbeing.
This will be followed by a brief update on HHI’s progress over the last year, and a panel discussion with leading experts in the fields of public health, housing and indoor air quality.

As well as TDs and Senators, expected attendees will include civil and public servants from relevant government departments and agencies, as well as industry leaders from housing, construction, engineering, architecture, public health, the environment and academia.
Established in December 2021, Healthy Homes Ireland (HHI) is an initiative between the Irish Green Building Council (IGBC) and VELUX, which aims to raise awareness of the link between good health and good quality housing in Ireland.
