Green Buildings: A New Regulatory Era
Be inspired to act at Build Green Now, the Irish Green Building Council’s flagship event of 2024, where you can network and engage with national and international thought leaders.
It’s an exciting but perhaps fearful time in the building sector, as new legislation from Europe reshapes regulation, finance and supply chains towards a more sustainable built environment.
Get to grips with this rapidly changing regulatory landscape at Build Green Now, where speakers and panellists will take a deep dive into new legislation such as the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), the Construction Products Regulation (CPR), the Sustainable Finance Disclosures Regulation (SFRD) and the EU Taxonomy for sustainable activities, all of which will shape our industry in the years ahead.
Learn how the IGBC is enabling the introduction of limit values for whole life carbon (as per the requirements of the new EPBD), how we can innovate our building regulations for faster decarbonisation, and about the future of the circular economy, and what it means for construction. Hear about exciting approaches to urban planning that tackle unstainable land use, resource consumption, and biodiversity loss, and about the latest initiatives from your Green Building Council, including the launch of a pilot taxonomy verification scheme.
Come to Build Green Now 2024 to find out what’s coming next for our rapidly changing industry, and to network with your peers and with industry leaders.
This is an RIAI CPD accredited conference offering 5 points.
