This training course is specifically designed for built environment professionals that have a background as an assessor in a BRE Global Scheme or with a minimum of two years’ experience in the management and operation of buildings. Please note that at present the current version of the BIU scheme does not meet the requirement for Energy Audits under article 8, however this will be considered at as part of the continuous update that all BREEAM Schemes consistently go through.

The scheme uses an assessment tool that can be completed by building managers and owners to self-assess their buildings. These self-assessments are then audited by independent BREEAM In-Use Assessors in order to gain certification. BREEAM in-use can be used to assess assets worldwide and has already been used in over 25 countries.
Once qualified, individuals will be required to register for a BREEAM Assessor licence in order to deliver BREEAM assessments and gain certification.
BREEAM is the world’s leading and most widely used environmental assessment standard. It supports and enables sustainable development at every stage of project development from design through to construction and into operation.
