EPD Ireland is pleased to announce that all our Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) can now be accessed in digital format through the ECO Portal. This development marks a significant milestone for our program and greatly enhances the accessibility and usability of transparent information regarding the environmental performance of building products.
Expanded Access to EPD Data
Thanks to our collaboration with the ECO Platform, more than 150 datasets from EPDs published under our program are now available on the ECO Platform Portal. The ECO Portal is a centralised hub, providing a single access point for all EPD data digitally published by ECO Platform EPD Programme Operators.
This means that specifiers, professionals, and stakeholders can access the datasets through a user-friendly web interface in PDF, CSV and XML formats or via an API, specifically designed for integration with software systems, especially building Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) softwares.
Funding Support and Ongoing Commitment
The digitisation of our entire dataset has been made possible through funding from Construct Innovate, Ireland’s National Research Centre for Construction Technology and Innovation. This has allowed us to take this significant step forward in providing accessible and usable information on the environmental performance of building products.
Moving forward, all EPDs from EPD Ireland will be published both as PDFs and digital datasets, ensuring that a wide range of users can benefit from the information we provide.
